Sample Uses: Los Alamos National Laboratory
Los Alamos National Laboratory is another part of the National Nuclear Security Administration within the U.S. Department of Energy. Los Alamos has two MegaSun systems. One is primarily used to produce a 12 kJ, 200 µs pulse, but it also has a 10 kJ, 65 µs capability. The second system creates a 15 kJ, 700 µs pulse.

Los Alamos has used the first MegaSun system to illuminate objects under a wide variety of circumstances, often capturing images with 10 ns exposure using an image converter camera. The second system has been used to illuminate areas as large as 4’ x 8’.
